• December 2011 The National Coalition for Literacy writes leadership of the Education and the Workforce Committee and Congressman Hinojosa in support of the Adult Education and Economic Growth Act (H.R. 2226).
• November 2011 The National Coalition for Literacy joins with 227 national organizations to oppose HJRes2 proposing a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
• October 2011 The National Coalition for Literacy urges Senators to support the Pathways Back to Work Fund in any jobs legislation going forward.
• September 2011 The National Coalition for Literacy urges the Super Committee leadership to protect adult education and family literacy funding.
