The GED credential is the only nationally recognized high school equivalency. It offers adults the opportunity to attend college or university, enter training programs and advance in the workforce. See sample test questions and find a local testing center at the GED Testing Service website. For more facts about the GED Testing Program see our latest Fact Sheets:

Intergenerational Literacy Activities
From the Center for At-Risk Education (CARE), Colorado Department of Education, this notebook is designed to help adult educators help adult learners connect their learning with that of their children or those young people whom they influence. Connecting adult learning with early childhood education will strengthen the parent’s role as an educator and encourage the transfer of learned skills to the home environment. The plans in this notebook can enhance a life-skills based curriculum with activities designed to be completed at home or on site.

Sesame Workshop on Healthy Habits
Use the Sesame Workshop Healthy Habits materials with your family literacy program for learning activities on nutrition and exercise knowledge, emotional well being, social development, and literacy. Parents and teachers will find a wealth of information to help children and families grow. Connect with your local PBS affiliate to arrange a family event.
